Track 2 · Open to every carrier

Freight factoring: 90–97% of your invoice, the same day you deliver.

Your broker pays in 30, 45, sometimes 90 days. Your fuel card, your driver, and your insurance carrier do not wait that long. Factoring closes the gap: you send the rate confirmation and the signed BOL, and we pay you 90 to 97 cents on the dollar the same day.

No time-in-business minimum. No minimum FICO. No personal credit check. No monthly volume commitment. We underwrite the broker who owes the invoice, not you — which is exactly why factoring works on day-one authority when nothing else does.

Not eligible for any product

  • Freight brokers and 3PLs with no owned or leased power units
  • Carriers under an active FMCSA out-of-service order
  • Carriers whose only receivables are from a related-party shipper
  • Carriers with an open involuntary bankruptcy

Why the 24-month rule exists

Motor carriers with fewer than two years under their own authority have an average three-year failure rate of 85% (FreightWaves, August 2026, citing Mitsubishi HC Capital America).

Under 49 CFR Part 385, a new carrier is also inside an 18-month FMCSA new-entrant monitoring window and must pass a safety audit in its first 12 months — authority can be revoked by a regulator for reasons that have nothing to do with the bank account.

We will not write an unsecured advance against that. We will factor your invoices from day one, because factoring is secured by the broker’s credit, not yours.

How a factored load actually runs

Six steps, start to finish.

Nothing here changes how you dispatch. It changes when you get paid.

  1. Before you book it, check the broker.Run the MC through us free. We pay on broker credit, so if we won’t buy their paper you need to know before you move the freight, not after.
  2. Haul the load.Nothing changes operationally.
  3. Send three documents.Rate confirmation, signed BOL or POD, and your invoice. A photo from the cab is fine.
  4. Get paid.In by 1:00 PM ET, funded the same day by ACH. After that, next business day.
  5. We collect from the broker.Under the notice of assignment they pay us directly. You do not chase it.
  6. Reserve releases. On a 95% advance, the remaining 5% comes back to you when the broker pays, minus the fee.

The arithmetic

Worked examples, with the numbers in them.

A $2,800 dry van load at 3%, 95% advance

Fee: $84. Paid at funding: $2,660. Held in reserve: $140. Released on collection: $56. Net to you: $2,716.

A 5-truck fleet running $120,000 a month at 2.2%

Monthly fee: $2,640. Annual: $31,680. For that you convert a 45-day receivable into same-day cash roughly eight times a year, and you stop paying someone to chase brokers.

What it costs on an annualised basis — the number factors don’t print

A 3% fee on a 30-day invoice is roughly 36% annualised. On a 45-day invoice it is about 24%. We print that because you deserve to compare it honestly against a line of credit.

And when it’s still the right call

A $3,000 load at 1.5% costs $45. If that $45 lets you book the next load instead of sitting two days waiting on a check, and that load nets $600, the trade is obvious. Factoring is priced per-turn, not per-year. Judge it on whether the cash goes back to work.

The honest part

What a factoring UCC-1 does to your other options. No one else puts this on their website.

When you start factoring, your factor files a UCC-1 financing statement against your accounts receivable. That is normal and it is how the product is secured. What nobody tells you is the consequence: most working-capital lenders will decline you on sight when they see an open AR lien, because your receivables — the only real collateral a motor carrier has — are already pledged.

This is the single most common reason a carrier who has been factoring for two years cannot get a working-capital advance, and almost every carrier finds out at the worst possible moment.

  • Our UCC-1 is filed on accounts receivable only. It is not a blanket lien on all assets. Your equipment stays free to finance.
  • If you move to Track 1 later, we subordinate or terminate internally. One file, one lienholder, no inter-creditor negotiation.
  • Already factoring elsewhere and want working capital from us? We will tell you on the first call whether your existing filing is AR-only or blanket. Pull your own UCC filings free from your Secretary of State; we will read them with you.
  • We will not stack an advance behind another factor’s blanket lien. If someone offers to, the number they are quoting you is not the number you will pay.

Recourse vs non-recourse

What each one actually covers.

Recourse versus non-recourse freight factoring compared
RecourseNon-recourse
Rate1.5%–2.8%+0.5%–1.0% over recourse
Broker goes insolventYou buy the invoice backWe absorb it
Broker simply doesn’t payYou buy it back at day 91You buy it back — not covered
Cargo claim, OS&D, rate disputeYou buy it backYou buy it back — not covered
Who it suitsCarriers running vetted broker boardsCarriers taking new shippers or thin-credit brokers

Non-recourse is credit insurance on broker insolvency. It is not insurance against a load going sideways, and any factor that implies otherwise is selling you something that does not exist.

When not to do this

We’ll tell you when factoring is the wrong product.

  • Your brokers already pay quick-pay at 1.5%. You’re paying twice for the same speed.
  • You’re sitting on 60+ days of cash. Then factoring is a cost with no return. Use it when the cash goes straight into the next load.
  • Your problem is a $35,000 engine, not a timing gap. That’s equipment or working capital, not factoring — factoring an invoice you haven’t earned yet isn’t possible.
  • Your margin on the lane is under the fee. At a 0.4% average truckload operating margin (ATRI, 2025 data), a 3% fee on a marginal lane means you hauled it for the factor. Price the lane with the fee in it.

Who this is for

If you have an active MC number and a delivered load, you qualify.

Owner-operators. One and two truck carriers. Carriers inside their first 24 months. Carriers who just got authority last week. Hotshot, box truck, dry van, reefer, flatbed, car hauler, intermodal drayage.

There is nothing else to clear. See the full segment breakdown on Industries.

Questions carriers actually ask

Freight factoring, answered.

What is freight factoring?

You sell a delivered, unpaid freight invoice to a factor at a discount and get paid immediately instead of waiting for the broker’s net-30 to net-90 terms. We advance 90–97% the same day, collect from the broker, and release the reserve less our fee.

How much does freight factoring cost?

1.5% to 3.5% of the invoice, set by your monthly volume and whether the facility is recourse or non-recourse. $150,000+/month recourse prices at 1.5%–2.0%. Under $40,000/month, or non-recourse, prices at 2.8%–3.5%.

Do I need good credit to factor?

No. We do not run personal credit for factoring. We check the credit of the broker or shipper who owes the invoice.

How long do I have to be in business?

There is no minimum. We factor day-one authority.

Is there a monthly minimum?

No. No monthly minimum, no volume commitment, no setup fee, no termination fee.

How fast do I get paid?

Same day on complete packets received by 1:00 PM ET. Next business day after.

What’s the difference between recourse and non-recourse?

Non-recourse covers broker insolvency and costs 0.5%–1.0% more. Neither covers a load that goes into dispute, a cargo claim, or a broker who simply refuses to pay — those come back to you either way.

Can I factor only some of my loads?

Yes. Spot factoring is available. You choose which invoices to submit.

Will factoring hurt my chances of getting other funding?

It can. The UCC-1 on your receivables causes many lenders to decline. Ours is filed on accounts receivable only, never as a blanket lien, so your equipment financing stays open. Read the full explanation above.

What is a fuel advance?

Cash against a load you have booked but not yet delivered — up to 50% of the linehaul, paid once the load is covered and the rate confirmation is in, netted out of the advance at delivery.
