Not eligible for any product
- Freight brokers and 3PLs with no owned or leased power units
- Carriers under an active FMCSA out-of-service order
- Carriers whose only receivables are from a related-party shipper
- Carriers with an open involuntary bankruptcy
Why the 24-month rule exists
Motor carriers with fewer than two years under their own authority have an average three-year failure rate of 85% (FreightWaves, August 2026, citing Mitsubishi HC Capital America).
Under 49 CFR Part 385, a new carrier is also inside an 18-month FMCSA new-entrant monitoring window and must pass a safety audit in its first 12 months — authority can be revoked by a regulator for reasons that have nothing to do with the bank account.
We will not write an unsecured advance against that. We will factor your invoices from day one, because factoring is secured by the broker’s credit, not yours.
What it’s for
Five things carriers take working capital for.
- Engine or transmission event. $18,000–$45,000 for an in-frame overhaul, and the truck earns nothing while it sits.
- Insurance renewal, or a down payment on a new policy. $10,200 a truck on a 2–5 unit fleet. $51,000 on five trucks, usually due in one block.
- Payroll across a slow three weeks. Driver wages are 81.8¢ a mile and they do not wait on a broker.
- Taking a contract you can’t float. A dedicated lane that pays well on net-45 still needs eight weeks of fuel and payroll up front.
- Buying out a partner or clearing a tax lien so the next equipment note can actually close.
The honest comparison
Working capital vs factoring — which one you actually need.
Factoring solves a timing problem: the money is earned, it is just 45 days out. Working capital solves a size problem: you need $40,000 now and no amount of accelerating receivables produces it.
They are not competitors and most Track 1 fleets run both. The mistake is using factoring to cover a $35,000 engine — you cannot factor revenue you have not earned. The other mistake is taking a 12-month advance to cover a 45-day gap, which is the expensive way to buy three days.
Stacking
We don’t stack, and we will tell you why.
If you already have an open advance, say so on the first call. A second position behind an undisclosed first is how carriers end up with four daily debits and a file nobody can restructure.
We will look at a consolidation or a payoff. We will not quietly add a fourth debit to your account.
Questions carriers actually ask
Working capital, answered.
Can I get trucking working capital with bad credit?
Yes, there is no minimum FICO. We read bank statements. Credit score alone does not decline a file.
Do you take my trucks as collateral?
No. Working capital is unsecured — no equipment lien, no blanket UCC. A personal guarantee is required.
How much can I get?
$75,000 to $750,000 in-house, typically 80%–150% of one month’s average deposits.
How fast?
Decision the same business day, funded in 24 hours.
Is there a prepayment penalty?
No — up to a 30% discount on the remaining balance for early payoff.
I run two trucks. Can I get working capital?
Not on this product; it requires 3 power units, or 2 on specialized authority. Invoice factoring has no unit minimum.
