Guide · Existing advances

Can I get trucking funding if I already have a cash advance?

Often, yes — if you disclose it. Linehaul Capital will not fund behind an undisclosed advance and will not stack a second debit on top of yours, but we will look at a consolidation or a payoff. Fleets with 5+ power units, 24+ months of authority and $100,000+ a month in deposits can roll advances into one fixed monthly term-loan payment — on our published $400,000 example, $10,534 a month over 48 months.

Why disclosure is the whole game

An advance is repaid by a fixed daily or weekly debit, so it shows in your bank statements whether you mention it or not. Disclosed, it is one more number in the file. Undisclosed, it is a listed decline reason, and it is how carriers end up with four daily debits and a file nobody can restructure. Say what you have on the first call and we will tell you what is possible.

Consolidation is usually the move that helps

Three daily-debit advances replaced by one monthly payment is usually the highest-return thing a struggling fleet can do. Our representative term file: a 7-truck carrier with 4 years of authority and $140,000 a month in deposits consolidates three advances into a $400,000 loan over 48 months. At an illustrative 12% APR, the payment is $10,534 a month, with $105,610 in total interest over the full term. Term loans above $250,000 are arranged through our bank lending partners and need 2 years of business tax returns and a year-to-date P&L. An illustration, not an offer.

If you need money this week, a term loan is the wrong timeline. Take working capital now and refinance into term in ninety days. If you can wait ten days, do.

If you are under the term-loan bar

With 3 or more units (2 on specialized authority), 24 months of authority and $60,000 or more in monthly deposits, working capital runs $75,000 to $750,000. We will look at a consolidation or a payoff of what you have; we will not quietly add another debit to your account. Paying our advance off early earns up to 30% off the remaining cost of funding. That discount does not apply to partner-originated products.

Running fewer than 3 trucks, or under 24 months of authority? We do not write an advance at that size, with or without an existing one, so consolidation through us is not available yet. Invoice factoring may still be, depending on what your current agreement and any filing cover. We would rather tell you that on the first call than on day nine. Either way, the fastest way to a better position is usually to let the existing advance pay down rather than adding a debit to it.

Check your filings before you call

If an existing funder filed a UCC-1 against your business, it matters. Pull your own UCC filings free from your Secretary of State; we will read them with you and tell you on the first call whether an existing filing is AR-only or blanket. That also decides what can run alongside it. We will not stack an advance behind another factor’s blanket lien. If you are already factoring with us, our filing covers accounts receivable only.

Who funds what

Linehaul Capital is a direct lender. Working capital, lines of credit and invoice factoring are underwritten and funded in-house as the first path. SBA 7(a) and 504 loans, and bank term loans above $250,000, are arranged through our bank and SBA lending partners; on those we package the file, manage the process and stay your point of contact. Questions carriers actually ask

Straight answers.

Will an existing cash advance get my trucking company declined?

Not by itself, if you disclose it. Undisclosed existing debt is a listed decline reason, because the debits show in your bank statements anyway. Disclose what you have and we will tell you what is possible.

Will you give me a second advance on top of my current one?

No. We do not stack. We will look at a consolidation or a payoff, but we will not add another daily debit to an account that already carries one.

Can a term loan pay off my merchant cash advances?

Yes. Consolidating short-term advances into one fixed monthly payment is one of the most common uses of a term loan. It needs 5 power units, 24 months of authority and $100,000 or more in monthly deposits, and above $250,000 it is arranged through our bank lending partners in 5 to 10 business days.

How fast is a consolidation?

Working capital funds in 24 hours. A term loan through our bank lending partners takes 5 to 10 business days. An SBA refinance takes 30 to 90 days.

Does the early-payoff discount apply to a consolidation?

On a working capital advance we fund, paying early earns up to 30% off the remaining cost of funding. The discount does not apply to partner-originated products such as bank term loans and SBA loans.
